libbatik-java software package provides xml.apache.org SVG Library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libbatik-java
libbatik-java is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libbatik-java package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libbatik-java *
You will get with libbatik-java package name, version, architecture and description in a table
